salmon mousse


After traveling for the last two weeks, I'm very happy to be back home and cooking in my kitchen again. It's nice to enjoy eating out while on vacation but after a week or so, its wearing. I'm meeting up with some other mommies for a potluck lunch tomorrow. and not being quick to respond, I was left with nothing much to bring since the main course, salad, and dessert were already claimed. So, I offered to make an appetizer. I have to admit his recipe was inspired by one of my friend's fancy food pics posted on Facebook. This is perfect for when you: 1) have little time 2) want to make ahead of time and 3) don't want to buy a long list of ingredients. 

salmon mousse

  • crackers
  • 4 oz smoked salmon
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp dill weed
  1. place smoked salmon, cream cheese, lemon juice, and dill weed into a food processor. mix until well blended. 
  2. (optional) put mixture into a pastry bag and pipe into a ramekin or on crackers to serve.
